As part of the South Hedland New Living program, close to 300 homes will be refurbished and retained by the Department of Housing for existing tenants. This provides residents with an improved standard of accommodation and every tenant will be given the option to buy the renovated property, continue to rent or relocate to another property. The choice is completely yours and no one will be forced to relocate.

The program for the refurbishments has been carefully coordinated to ensure there are always alternative housing options that are appropriate for the relocation of tenants. A Department Officer will carefully explain the process to every tenant and you will be given plenty of time to decide.
